Crawl Watch 09 continues

This weekend Linus really started slithering around on the floor to get to his favorite objects, including but not limited to: mini Dasani bottles, remote controls, Stinkaroo (this little giraffe/kangaroo toy whose head smells like Elmer's glue due to always being in Linus's mouth), and Mommy. He did several laps up and down the blanket--it was endlessly amusing to watch him work so hard just to grab something and roll over. In this video, you'll notice that Linus has perfected his army/secret agent crawl, in case he ever needs to go into stealth mode or finds himself temporarily unable to use both of his legs. He also does a killer wookie impression.

From Video: Special Agent Linus

I'm not sure if this means he'll be crawling in one week or one month, but this is certainly a big step (or perhaps "step" is not the appropriate word choice here) towards crawling.

Three other pieces of news, quickly:

1. Linus's surgery went very, very well. More on that in a later post.

2. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE TODAY!! (note: I'm secretly hoping Linus will hold out on the crawling thing until we move in to our new place in mid-May, because we can baby-proof it from the get-go. We'd be playing catch up at our currently place, you know? But, hey--whatever he wants to do developmentally is fine by me.)

3. And finally, big ol' congratulations to my friend Rolph and his family, who welcomed baby Rudy into the world today after what sounds like a ridiculously short labor. RUDY! Lovelovelove that name.

Paige- That's because he's fluent in Spanish.

Heather- In Corcoran (in between Longfellow and Powderhorn, near the Lake St YMCA)! I'm going to post some pics in the next couple of days--the inspection is tomorrow. Soon we really WILL be able to have you and Adam over for brunch...
