94 years old?? I woudn't have guessed a DAY over 35!

We had our house inspection yesterday, and it went well. We found out that the boiler is original--which means it's been warming fingers and toes (and hearts. aww...) since 19 freaking 15. It's a total work horse. Yesterday was a sort of dreary, haily, and all around gloomy day, so it was good to see the house during non-sunny weather, and even better to find that we still love the house. Linus is going to looooove his new backyard. He can run around with Tuffy while I muck things up in the garden so I can say, "Why yes, I did grow these tomatoes in our backyard, how nice of you to comment" while our guests politely spit their gazpacho into their napkins.

Dan snapped a few photos while we were there. He would've taken more, but the current owner of the house was there (um...?) and he was politely trying to photograph around her (it's a good thing I didn't have the camera). Still, check out the album below to see a few photos--complete with captions!--of our new digs, which will OFFICIALLY become our new digs in mid-May. Not pictured: our bedroom, Linus's bedroom, or the main floor bath. The living room and dining room are really fantastic, but you only get snippets of them here. Still, you're bright. You'll get the idea.

Three cheers for domesticity!

We bought a house!

Love it! My heart is simply bursting for you. Why are KC and Minneapolis so far apart? That's bullshit.

Thanks, everyone! I've already made a list of a bajillion different things I want to do to it (mostly involving paint). Our goal is to do half of them.
